The Welsh government has significant concerns with UK government plans to replace the Human Rights Act with a Bill of Rights. The Welsh Government is opposed to the proposal to replace the Human Rights Act 1998 with a “Bill of Rights”. Many of the  proposals set out in the UK Government’s consultation document are directly at odds with the Welsh Government’s commitment, reflected in our policy and practice, to strengthen and advance equality and human rights in Wales.

We, PSC Cymru, also share these concerns.
